Additional Services

Cat Adoption
Where stray cats or kittens come in off the streets and finish up happy, healthy members of your family. Our clients bring in strays, we bring them up to speed health-wise.
For just $200 your new kitten is health checked, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. Your new cat has been thoroughly checked over by our Vets and desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, if necessary.
Puppy Pre-School
Puppy Pre-School is recommended for puppies from 8-16 weeks.
Informative, fun evenings, they are designed to start puppies and their families off on the right paw. Puppy Pre-School teaches you the reasons why your puppy behaves as he or she does, and how you can mould this behaviour in fun, non-threatening ways.
Classes are conducted by Liarne, a qualified and very experienced dog trainer.
They are held one night per week, for four consecutive weeks, lasting about 1 hour.
Information about who should attend and what the class covers is included on our Puppy Pre-School page.

Home visits, Pick up and Delivery
We are happy to do home visits if coming to the hospital is neither practical nor possible, although they do need to be booked in advance and times are limited.
Alternatively, for a small extra charge, we can arrange for your pet to be picked up and delivered back to your home by one of our Nurses.
Microchipping
We are fully accredited to implant microchips, as required by NSW law. We rountinely use two registries, the NSW Comanion Animal Register, which is required by law, and the Australasian Animal Registry, a nation-wide database.
Currently, the NSW Law states that all Companion Animals (Cats and Dogs), must be microchipped before sale, and be microchipped and registered with your local council by the age of 6 months.
If you need to update your microchip details, please contact your local council and the Australasian Animal Registry on 02 9704 1450.

Boarding
Cats
Now you can take your break away with complete peace of mind, knowing that your cat is in good hands.
A unique feature of the hospital is The Lion’s Den, a large enclosed outdoor area where your cat can run free during the day.
If you cat if coming in to board with us, please feel free to download the Boarding Consent Form and bring it with you.
Dogs
Dog boarding is available at the hospital under special circumstances i.e. puppies, geriatrics, diabetics or just overnight, depending on spaces available.
We also have arrangements with an excellent boarding kennel who will pick up and deliver your dogs from the hospital.
Weight Loss Clinics
Overweight pets are susceptible to all the same problems as overweight humans - arthritis, diabetes, cardiac disease or just general lethargy.
Putting your pet on a successful diet is more difficult than it may seem (rather like it is in humans).
Our Weight Loss Clinics, including regular weigh-ins and advise will ensure your pet loses weight and keeps it off.
Nutrition
We are always happy to give advice on the best diet for your dog or cat. We stock a large range of specialised diets which are designed to provide peak nutrition during each stage of their life.
We also stock diets which can assist with existing medical conditions.
The Small Pet Shop
Stop in at the shop for professional advice from our fully trained staff regarding any of our stocked products i.e. flea treatments, diets and shampoos. We also stock fun and useful products like toys, yummy snacks, carry cages, bowls, collars and leads. |
