2009 Australasian Veterinary Education Symposium
Preparing for Practice July 5 -7, 2009University of Queensland, BrisbaneSymposium Agenda available from: Veterinary Medicine is about Relationships! Share ideas with practitioners, and veterinary and medical educators on how we can ensure our graduates have the skills, knowledge and attitudes to succeed in Practice. This inaugural symposium will focus on veterinary communication, life skills and outcomes assessment. Hear about advances in relational medicine, discuss ideas on mentoring students, skills assessment, participate in interactive workshops to enhance the veterinary experience for all involved. Optional visits to the new teaching facilities at Gatton (5th) and the Medical Skills Development Centre at Royal Brisbane Hospital (8th) where UQ students rehearse consultation skills, are included.
