SHAWN McVEY

Shawn brings a unique package to the veterinary industry. 

He completed his graduate studies in Political Social Work and Behavioural Science and started as a Psychotherapist.  However he had the drive to divert his career to run veterinary practices and is now a veterinary management consultant, an editorial advisory board member of Veterinary Economics and one of the most sought after veterinary speakers globally being voted “Speaker of the Year” in North America.

JIM STOWE

J D (Jim) Stowe DVM (author, speaker and practice management coach) graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 1969.  He practiced for 18 years having started, owned and operated 4 veterinary practices in the province of Ontario, Canada. He has consulted for the profession for more than thirty years on emerging technologies, continuing education, marketing and practice management. In 1988 he became Head of Veterinary Continuing Education at the Ontario Veterinary College and created programs that would ultimately lead to the co-founding in 1993 with Dr Chas Povey of Lifelearn Inc now a global multi-media company dedicated to web-based, digital and text-based educational resources for all professions. He is the founder (1998) of EffectiVet a practice-management consulting and coaching firm.

Dr Stowe has consulted with practices in Canada, the United States and Australia and lectures extensively on personal and practice coaching principles. His practice clients/owners have achieved significant success and recognition as exemplary and effective veterinary businesses.

He has written on these topics extensively including:

  • Decoding Success, An inside look at Canada’s most successful practices. For the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (2001 with Darren Osborne)

DONNA HANSON

Donna is one of Australia’s most sought after experts on the subject of technology training.

Known as The Technology Translator, Donna has an amazing ability to translate computer speak into everyday language.. Through her company, Prime Solutions Training, Donna and her team provide training to clients such as BMW, Village Roadshow and Holden.

She is one of only 4 people outside of the US who is certified to train Microsoft staff in a specialised email productivity process and makes regular appearances on Australian television and radio chatting about email and technology.

ROB WHITE

Rob White BVSc, MBA graduated from the University of Sydney. Rob is the sole Director of MPV Consulting, providing veterinary practice owners, and those generally interested in practice management with practical tools to improve practice performance and value.  Over 1040 practices Australia-wide have utilised services offered by MPV since its inception. Rob now provides multiple survey opportunities for practice owners, a lower cost practice self-evaluation appraisal service management and marketing advice and provides and delivers educational seminars.

BOB PHILLIPS

Bob commenced teaching high school. His career has included a range of leadership positions and has had a long term interest in organizational systems and the way in which our interactions can shape an organisation’s future. Bob is credited with being an inspirational leader who has conducted hundreds of workshops and keynote addresses nationally and internationally.

 

DIEDERIK GELDERMAN

Diederik Gelderman BVSc, MVS, NT-NLP graduated from the University of Sydney.

He established Greenhills Veterinary Hospital and transformed it from a struggling practice into a burgeoning regional veterinary hospital. He is now putting his time-proven strategies into practice and coaching veterinary professionals throughout the world who want to achieve similar results.

Through his coaching business Turbo Charge Your Veterinary Practice he has coached many small to medium enterprises in a diverse range of industries.

JANE BINDLOSS

Jane is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (UK) who is committed to helping veterinary team members reach their potential. 

Over 16 years, she has always held a position on the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia, the National Industry Advisory Group for Vet Nursing and currently, the Companion Animal Working Group of the Australian Animal Welfare Strategy.  She was a Finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards and holds the AVAs Meritorious Service Award.  Jane is a business partner of Pets at the Vets Hospital and an AVBA Board Member. 

With a passion to improve the culture of the veterinary workplace, Jane consults and lectures to veterinary teams around Australia via her company “SANE Management Solutions for Veterinary Practices”
