Carbine Chemicals at the
Spring Carnival

With Victoria ‘officially’ clear of Equine Influenza, Melbourne’s all important Spring Racing Carnival is in full swing with strong fields in every race on the calendar.

One of the surprise packets of the Spring Racing Carnival wasn’t a horse, but an Australian company providing some of Australia’s most successful horses with their dietary supplements.

Horse trainers need their horses peaking at exactly the right time to have a chance at glory, meaning the choice of supplements given to the horse is vitally important.

Carbine Chemicals was the only supplement administered to a number of horses who enjoyed great success during the carnival.

On Saturday October 14 with the focus on Caufield for the running of the Caufield Guineas and the Yalumba Stakes, there were three winners who use Carbine Chemicals as the only supplements the horses are administered.

These winners were Green Mankini (named after the hideous male swimming costune made famous by Borat) trained by John White, and Maldivian and Divine Madonna which both won Group One races on the day.

Maldivian made the headlines again two weeks later when it was expected to win the Caufield Cup but was a very late scratching after cutting herself in the barrier, while Divine Madonna enjoyed further success winning the Group One Myer Classic at Flemington on November 3, and finishing seventh in the Cox Plate.

What better proof of the effectiveness of these supplements can there be, than the trust of some of the country’s best horse trainers, and success on the track!
