What Is It?

HoofPRIME is a dressing formulated to penetrate and nourish your horses hooves and prevent poor hoof health which can eventually lead to lameness. HoofPRIME ensures strength and flexibility which avoids a cracked and brittle hoof in dry conditions.

Flexibility allows a full absorption of the shock from exercise on hard ground and therefore helps to protect your horses legs from injury.

What’s In It?

HoofPRIME contains a large number of high quality, natural ingredients:
Fish oil, Wheat germ oil, Venice turpentine, Phenol, Iodine, Neatsfoot oil, Linseed oil, Tar and olive oil.

How Does It Work?

When subject to wet conditions, the hoof may absorb too much water and become soft. Although water is naturally present and evenly distributed throughout the hoof, when the hoof is exposed to excessive amounts of moisture, molecules flood the hoof structures. The hoof then swells to accommodate the moisture, damaging the hoof structure and weakening the horn.

This weakness leaves the hoof prone to infection and further damage. HoofPRIME treatment on alternate days is a fine solution to this problem. The unique blend of oils that help to compose HoofPRIME dressing act as a water barrier to help prevent inadequate moisture absorption and ensure the hoof remains in good condition.

In dry conditions however, the hoof may become cracked and brittle. Rapid removal of moisture can cause irreversible damage to the hoof structure. Regular use of HoofPRIME helps to keep hooves strong and flexible which allows full absorption of the shock of exercise on hard ground and protects your horse from the risk of leg injury.

How Is It Used?

Prior to use, thoroughly clean your horse’s hooves and shake container well. HoofPRIME dressing should then be applied using a brush, covering the entire hoof and working well into the hairline and around the frog. Under normal conditions, treatment should be repeated on alternate days.

HoofPRIME may also be used daily during dry weather or if hooves are hard and brittle.
