Pernaease Powder is a 100% natural product with no added chemicals or fillers. It contains a balanced combination of three marine extracts (Green Lipped Mussel, Abalone and Shark Cartilage) with a history of use for cartilage and joint fluid regeneration in both humans and animals. These marine extracts are sourced from the clear, blue waters of New Zealand in a sustainable manner and processed to a human grade standard.

Pernaease Powder contains a high concentration of naturally sourced glycosaminoglycans (mainly chondroitin sulphate) and glucosamine in addition to a range of trace elements (such as manganese, copper, calcium, and phosphorus) and Omega 3 fatty acids (regarded to be natural anti-inflammatory agents).

Glycosaminoglycans are a principle component of cartilage and the synovial fluid needed for joint lubrication. They provide flexibility, elasticity and tensile strength to the articular cartilage.

As dogs age the amount of glycosaminoglycans in the body produces declines. A natural source of glycosaminoglycans, such as those found in Pernaease Powder, may therefore play a role in supplementing the body’s own production for use in the regeneration and healing of damaged or arthritic joints.

Pernaease Powder can be used as a sole treatment in mild to moderate cases of arthritis in dogs or used in combination with more traditional drugs in severe cases (on the advice of a veterinarian). It is also recommended for large breeds, in particular, as a joint health supplement to reduce the chance of future arthritis and joint pain.

Pernaease Powder should be given once daily with food. The powder can be sprinkled directly onto the dog’s normal food or put into the water if desired. Results should be seen within two to four weeks. Long-term use may be beneficial in some dogs.
