All cat owners know how susceptible cats can be to Lower Urinary Tract Disorder. This painful disease can become a medical emergency if the urethra becomes blocked, so it is important that the problem is spotted and treated at the early stages.

Scientific Cat Litter lets cat owners know whether their cat is suffering from FLUTD, and how severe the condition is. How I hear you ask?

The less acidic a cat’s urine is, the more susceptible it is to forming stones or crystals in the urinary tract. The most common type of crystals present in the urine are struvites, which form more frequently if the pH level is 6.6 or above.

Scientific Professional Cat Litter is an early warning system for an elevated pH level. The litter colour changes to varying shades of pale pink to magenta when the pH in a cat’s urine is above normal. The darker the shade of pink, the more serious the problem may be.

Scientific Cat Litter can be used as an everyday litter, or can be used as a check-up by being placed in the litter tray for between five and seven consecutive days each month.
