Behavioural Problems

In addition to our Puppy Pre-School  and Canine College classes, Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is happy to be able to offer consultations for individual dogs with behaviour problems. Gayl O’Grady, who is in charge of running our pre-school programme, has completed the Delta Society’s Canine Good Citizen ™ Behavioural Dog Training Course (Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services).

If you are experiencing problems with your pet - such as inappropriate digging, barking or snapping - Gayl can assess your dog on an individual basis. She will normally pay a visit to your home, in order to assess your dog in its own environment and also its interactions with family members. She will formulate a behaviour  modification programme, based on positive reinforcement techniques, individually tailored to address your dog’s specific issues.

She will provide you with a written report on her assessment and recommendations, and follow up on your dog’s progress by phone contact after you have had time to implement the action plan.
