Contemporary Brazilian & Afro Cuban Music

Passionfruit is perfect for your next sophisticated function.  With their classy array of Brazilian, Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban Fusion they capture the exotic styles and feelings that Brazil and Latin America are famous for.

Passionfruit is headed by one of the country's greatest guitarists, Guy Strazz and is available in acoustic duo format for those intimate settings or as a Trio, Quartet or Quintet that can include guitar, bass, drums/percussion, vocals, piano and brass.

JEANNE BASTOS & BAND

Performs in her uniqueness and wondrous sounds of Brazil!

Jeanne Bastos is a passionate Brazilian Singer, originally from Bahia, Brazil.  With an adoring voice and deep love for her (Brazil’s) music she ardently performs the marvellous songs and rhythms of her homeland.

Her live performances have fluidity and a great flow of energy, continuously fed by the exchange between her, the singer and her audience.

She has travelled all over the world on various projects and in 2006 was invited by Brazilian musicians to participate in the events that will take place in Germany during the World Cup.  She was also invited as a guest singer on Lulo Reinhardt’s recording project in Copland.

Her repertoire includes familiar songs from the gentle romantic sounds of Bossa Nova to the Excitement and fever of Samba.  They are available as a 4 piece plus.

SAMBAGODE

This band is a union of the finest Brazilian percussionists and musicians in Sydney.  Including vocals, their collection of music consists of all popular Brazilian Styles and genres such as Pagode, Axe, Samba and Batucada.  Lively rhythms and infectious  beats ‘Sambagode’ are sure to have you dancing in no time.
