HOTBEAT DANCE - YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Do I need to make a booking to join the course I am interested in?

Yes!  Bookings are required for all courses.  It is very important that you book yourself in your preferred dance class, as you will be guaranteed a Place.

Classes need a minimum number of students to proceed and also.

Class numbers are needed as not to over book and over crowd the classes.

How do I register and book for a dance course?

Please email your details and course of interest.

A confirmation email will be sent with further details

Can I attend a ‘one off’ class to see if I like the style?

Classes are offered in 6-week blocks and students cannot attend a single class on a casual basis.  For more info regarding this please read the information on Course structure.

You are more than welcome to come observe a class in action.  Please advise when you wish to come along.

Do I need to pay for my course before the start date?

If you like to forward your payment before the commencement of the course, you may do so by posting a cheque.

Otherwise payment is made on registration day (1st lesson).

What payment methods do you accept?

Only cash or cheque.  There is a CBA ATM near by. There are No Credit Card Facilities at the Studio.

How early do I need to arrive before the class starts?

Except for the 1st lesson, as described below, It is generally advisable that you are at the studio at least 5 -10 min prior to the class starting to get your self ready for the class to commence.  This way you will not miss out on the important warm-up component of the class.

Registration and payment are required prior to the commencement of the first lesson.  All students are required to be at the studio at least 15 min prior to the start of the first lesson.  There is class’s running back to back at the studio, which makes it difficult to do these procedures afterwards.

Should I inform you if I have an injury or I am pregnant?

Yes, any serious conditions must be discussed prior to you attending class.  I can then advise you if the class will be suitable prior to starting or if you need a letter from your GP.  Minor injuries of no real concern can be written on the registration form.

Can I get a refund for classes I have not attended or transfer to another class?

No. Classes, not attended due to personal circumstances cannot be refunded or transferred under circumstances.

What do i wear to class?

Please wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and that do not restrict movement, e.g. sports pants or tights.  Recommended footwear is joggers, sneakers or jazz sneaker.

You might also like to bring a towel to wipe down afterwards. Please remember to ALWAYS bring a water/drink with you.
