Expected Outcomes of Accredited Certification

The following documents are user-friendly versions of the Joint ISO-IAF Communiqu√©s regarding the expected outcomes of accredited certification to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, which were issued in July 2009 - see IAF Publications, Section1 IAF Communiqu√©s and Press Releases.  The purpose of these publications is to promote a common focus throughout the entire conformity assessment chain in order to achieve the outcomes expected of accredited certification and thereby enhance its value and relevance.

Memoranda of Understanding signed by IAF

IAF-ILAC-IEC Memorandum of Understanding
Copy of the text of the MoU agreed between IAF, ILAC and IEC.  The MoU was signed by Randy Dougherty, the Chairman of IAF, Daniel Pierre, the Chairman of ILAC, and Aharon Amit, the General-Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of IEC, on October 29, 2010 at a ceremony in Shanghai.

IAF-ILAC-ISO Memorandum of Understanding
Copy of the text of the MoU agreed between IAF, ILAC and ISO.  The MoU was signed by Dr Thomas Facklam, the Chairman of IAF, Daniel Pierre, the Chairman of ILAC and Alan Bryden, the Secretary-General of ISO, on October 26, 2008 at a ceremony in Geneva.

IAF-ILAC-OIML Memorandum of Understanding
Copy of the text of the MoU agreed between IAF, ILAC and OIML.  The MoU was signed by Randy Dougherty, the Chairman of IAF, Daniel Pierre, the Chairman of ILAC and Alan Johnston, the President of OIML, on October 29, 2010 at a ceremony in Shanghai.  The original tri-partite MoU was signed on 28 October 2007.

IAF-GLOBALG.A.P Memorandum of Understanding
Copy of the text of the MoU agreed between IAF and GLOBALG.A.P.  The MoU was originally signed between IAF and EurepGAP by Dr Thomas Facklam, the Chairman of IAF and Dr Kristian Moller, the Secretary of EurepGAP and the Managing Director of FoodPlus GmbH, on June 2, 2006.  The updated MoU with GLOBALG.A.P was signed on May 29, 2009.

IAF-ILAC-UNIDO Memorandum of Understanding
Copy of the text of the MoU agreed between IAF, ILAC and UNIDO.  The MoU was signed by Dr Thomas Facklam, the Chairman of IAF, Mr Mike Peet, the Chairman of ILAC and Mr Carlos Magarinos, the Director-General of UNIDO, on October 10, 2004 at a ceremony in Cape Town.
