How we got started
In the late 1980’s, as a major Australian Veterinary pharmaceutical and equipment distributor, we commenced importing veterinary dental units for the Australian Veterinary Profession.
We arranged workshops with help of overseas experts to increase the profession's knowledge of veterinary dentistry and generated widespread interest in this new area of veterinary medicine.
Unfortunately the human based imported equipment failed to meet the totally different requirements of veterinary practice. This is still the case today with most units built primarily for the human market. Air Suction Systems from the human market can not be pulled apart for cleaning - every bit of ours can be disassembled.
As we were already producing veterinary anesthetic equipment, we had considerable manufacturing expertise. So a decision was made to design and build a dental unit to eliminate the design faults we were experiencing.
From this start, iM3 was established as an independent company with the sole purpose of designing and engineering a veterinary dental system so advanced that it would set new standards for product innovation, occupational safety and design. The manual of Small Animal Dentistry, Published by B.S.A.V.A. said "The iM3 Professional, this is possibly the Rolls Royce of Veterinary Dental Work Centres".

A national office was established in the USA in 1991 to ensure we could provide the highest level of technical support and service to our customers in our largest market, the USA. We have dental units in Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and all through Europe.
