iM3 Low speed Handpieces
iM3 dental machines are fitted with the new iM3 Advantage Low speed motor (20,000rpm) and the Advantage 4:1 straight nose gone (SNC) green in colour. The 4:1 SNC reduces the output speed of the HP to 5,000rpm the correct polishing speed. the Low speed handpiece swivels for ease of use.
iM3 R&R oscillating prophy angles are fitted to the SNC.

Advantage LS motor ordering code: L6990
Advantage Low speed motor ergonomically designed by iM3, to be more user friendly. The motor is light weight and shorter than conventional LS motors. The motor is fitted with a superior 5 blade turbine for extra torque and the speed is set at 20,000rpm with no forward / reverse ring - to minimize confusion. the motor requires a 4 hole connector - standard on iM3 dental machines. LS motors with forward / reverse adjustable speed ring are available from iM3 code L6980

Advantage 4:1 straight nose cone (SNC) ordering code L6995
The new advantage 4:1 SNC (Green) is shorter in length and features no chuck ring. The SNC features a smart friction grip holder making fitting an R&R as simple as pushing it on! (pictured below) The overall shorter length and lighter weight means less fatigue and strain on the user. Note: the advantage 4:1 SNC will only fit the advantage LS motor L6990.

The Advantage low speed motor can be used with a number of different low speed attachments including 1:1 straight nose cones for rabbit dentistry and orthapedics using HP burs, reduction contra atachments and latch heads for RA burs and restorations. All Low speed fittings are available from iM3.
iM3 High Speed handpieces
The range of high speed handpieces pictured below have been selected by iM3 as they are easy to use and reliable. All high speed handpieces sold by iM3 use Friction Grip FG burs.

iM3 Push button High Speed handpiece is available with and without fibre optics. the HP operates at speeds up to 400,000rpm and provides a cooling mist to the bur. 4 hole gaskests are fitted to the bottom of the non fibre optic HP and 5 hole gaskets kitted to the Fibre optic handpiece.
To fit a bur simply push the button and insert the bur all the way into the chuck. to remove the bur, repeat the process ensuring you push the bur in before pulling out.

Midwest power lever handpiece is available in both fibre optic and non fibre optic versions. The advantage of the lever HP is the bur is removed and inserted by lifting a small leaver at the back of the HP cap. This can be easier to use than the Push button handpiece where the button at the back of the cap is depressed requiring more strength!
