The seminar series will:
* Explore some key patent, trade mark and hearing office practices and procedures
* Highlight some of the IPONZ/IP Australia examination differences
* Profile the e-business enhancements, and
* Impart some useful filing tips and contacts

Topical items include ‘subsumed’ trade marks and non-use revocations.

Speaker Profiles:
 
Simon Pope is one of the three Principal Trade Mark Examiners at IPONZ. Before joining IPONZ, Simon practiced for over 7 years in New Zealand as a trade mark lawyer and advised on copyright and design issues. Simon has also worked for a major UK patent attorney firm, prosecuting European case files.

Diane Barraclough is an Advisor with the Business Development team at IPONZ. Diane is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and registered as a Australian Patent Attorney. She has worked as a trade mark agent and patent executive in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Continued Professional Development
The PSB has accredited this seminar series as eligible for CPE hours.  Attendees can claim 1 point for each hours of attendance (excluding refreshment breaks).
