Maryborough City Soccer Club Presentation Evening
7pm Thursday 11th September 2008,
To be held at the Maryborough Education Centre -Performing Arts Centre in Balaclava Rd, Maryborough.
Please bring a plate to share for supper. Drinks Provided.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PLAYERS FOR THE WAY THEY HAVE COMPETED THIS YEAR!!!
There have been no reports of bad behaviour or sending off, that is the spirit we always want to maintain at the club.
Our season ends this week on the 6th of September with the Under 13s representative match at 9.30 and the Presidents Cup at 10.30, both on the main pitch. Good Luck to all players.
ANZ SOUTH-WEST GAMES COMPETITION - WARRNAMBOOL.
Age groups for this are:
U11's (Saturday October 25th)
U13's and U15's (Sunday October 26th)
Seniors and Over 35's (Sunday November 2nd)
Costs are being heavily subsidised by the club and kept to a minimum at $20 which includes bus and competition entry fees.
Training sessions are being held each Wednesday evening at Peel Street at 4.15, please turn up if interested.
From the President...
"There is going to be a announcement this week regarding the arrival of a representative from Football Federation Victoria who will be staying over a Friday and Saturday in July to run a coaching clinic for our coaches. He will also be viewing our competition which is very exciting for the club.
Another announcement will be made hopefully in early July for training to recommence for the Under 13 rep squad as a coach has come forward to coach and train during the week. We are now in the process of setting up possible practice matches against Ballarat teams who are having a bye due to our earlier withdrawal.
Fingers crossed this will go well...
Coaches kits are finally being put together for coaches who are running training sessions. The Kits for the Under 17 teams have been put together and purchased and are now ready for collection. Kits include Balls and Ball carry bag, Cones, Pump, Ice Packs and Small First Aid kit, Clip Board, Field map, pens, Whistle and a quality Coaches Bag. The kits must be signed out etc.. Please see a club official to collect them.
The under 13 coaches kits are still being put together but they will hopefully arrive over the holiday break.

2008 “The Year Of Change”
This year sees the introduction of a 3-tiered structure for the club with the splitting of the competition into Under 9, Under 13 and Under 17’s. I have no doubt that it will be successful with the Under 9 and Under 13 group playing a similar competition to the much talked about small sided games competition being adopted by Football Australia right across the country.'
