The Maryborough “Ready Set Web” Season 2007 Soccer Competition September 1st 2007 - Arrangements for season close.
Congratulations to…Rangers, League Champions for 2007.
Rangers will play the President’s Team on the last Saturday of competition, September 22nd.
Today is the last round for U/15 competition.
This will be followed by two rounds of finals. Draw for the finals next week.
- Game 1 Rangers v United. 9.30 am Set up both teams.
- Game 2 Wolves v Spurs. 10.30 am.
- Following week. 3rd place play off 9.30 am. Knockout final 10.30 am.
Under 11 competition.
The draw for U/11 runs for one more week. It has been traditional to run a “knock out” round on the final week (September 15th) and this will happen this year. The rules and the draw for the knockout round will be in next week’s newsletter.
RETURN OF SOCCER CLUB SHIRTS:
This will take place on Saturday 15th September after the games. Players should bring an extra shirt to change into.
- The u/11 coaches will collect their team shirts.
- The u/15 coaches will collect their team shirts. Names will be checked off against numbers.
Please co-operate with these arrangements as we need to keep track of our shirts (volunteers to wash shirts should let the coaches know) Coaches please return ALL shirts on Presentation night.
Presentation Evening will be held on a date to be confirmed. There will also be a Soccer Club A.G.M.before the end of the year. All parents are encouraged to consider nominating for a position on the 2008 Committee. (if interested contact any committee member prior to meeting)
CHOCOLATE DRIVE:
Thanks for your support, it has been great. All money back to John Jackson, Ian Fettling, Mark Rendell or Graham Fary by this Saturday please.
Another newsletter next week will contain details of the U/11 knockout draw. Teams for the Presidents Cup and representative match to finish the season will be in the news of Sept 15h.
Lions Club -a generous donation of $300 was given to the Soccer club last week by the Lions. We are very grateful for the hard work they put into the community to raise funds to help a club such as ourselves.
