2007 Victorian State Country Championships

Last weekend saw several of our local Maryborough City Soccer Club players travelling to Albury NSW to compete in the Victorian State Country Championships to represent the Ballarat region. We had Teagan Noonan in the Under 11 Girls, Matthew Gibbs in Under 11 boys, Dylan Rendell in Under 12 Boys and Billy Gianacopoulos & Jakob McDowell in the Under 13 Boys.

All of our players acquitted themselves well onfield & did our club proud with their exemplary behaviour off the pitch. We must also extend our congratulations to Ryan Berg who did a marvellous job as coach of the Under 13 Boys squad.

We are a very special club and have many fine players that we can be proud of. Heres hoping that next year we will have even more representation at this level. Not only is this a fabulous weekend away that is a lot of fun, these weekends provide an invaluable experience as far as soccer goes, and provide our players with exposure to the states finest young talent.
