GOODBYE DRY JULY! AND HELLO TO ALCOHOL IN AUGUST!

Free Wine! OH, RLY? Yes and there's no catch, we want to send you a dozen bottles of wine to help get your conversations flowing, no strings attached!

Kirrihill is a small winery in the Clare Valley, South Australia.  Although we don't have the advertising and marketing budgets of the big guys, it doesn't mean we can't talk to the world; we just have to do it in a smarter, more engaging way.  The big guys still see the online space as a monologue whereas we see it as a dialogue; one that is transparent, inclusive, authentic vibrant and consumer-driven. People are already talking about our wines online; posting reviews in blogs and wine communitites.

Needless to say we don't intend to fail! For us it's all about the conversations, and we believe that the best communicators are also the best listeners.  We're aiming to engage with our consumers to inspire them with a feeling of ownership of the brand, whilst giving them something to talk about Love us or hate us, we won't leave you indifferent! Just ask the participants o f Project Vino's Kirrihill Twitter tasting, an online event which we believe was a world first!

9 Things You Need to Know About This Idea:

1. Contact Julie at Network Communications to let her know you're interested.  She'll give you the details to get your free wine.

 2. Once you have all the details, go to our online store to organise delivery of your wine.  You'll just need togive us your delivery address and confirm all involved will be over 18.**

3. Invite whoever you like to enjoy the wine with you:

  • Community or sporting groups

  • Business colleagues

  • Social Network Friends

  • Fellow bloggers

  • Real life friends

  • Complete strangers, or whoever you want!

4. Get together! Invite us if you like; Matt ( our wine guy) would love to participate.

5. Email us afterwards about your get together; Who was in the group? What were your conversations about? We'd love it if you uploaded a photo to our Facebook Page or Flickr Group.

6. If you'd like to mention this in your blog, social network or website, great! If not, no problem!

7. You might love the wine, you might not... either way there is absolutely no obligation to mention Kirrihill Wines or the Companions range.  If you mention it and say you didn't love it... promise we won't "unfirend" you.

8. We've developed a fun, five question meme around conversations and companionship that we'd love to sahre with you.  Even if you aren't interested in the free wine, we'd be happy to share this with you, just let us know.

9. There is no n7umber nine.  IF you still want a case of free wine, but points one through eight don't agree with you, lit us know and offer up your own ideas.  We're open to all suggestions!

Meet the wine guy - Matt McCulloch

Matt would like to think of himself as a personable and fairly intesting fellow - as a Scot educated in England, before moving to France to study and work, he's had many a conversation in several languages.  This set him up for ten years travelling to nearly every corner of the winemaking world meeting some fascinating characters along the way before making the move to Australia in 2006.  A keen rugby palyer he still occasionally limps out for the Barossa Rams, if and when you meet him!) with country music star Danny Hooper or working in his own five acre Shiraz vineyard.  All that plus the day job and a wife and two young kids at home, so Matt sees the prospect of dinner and vino as a little light relief!
