How many keywords can a search engine optimisation campaign target?
Historically many of those offering search engine services pick one or two search phrases and think they are doing well if they secure high search engine rankings against these.
Real success is achieved however, when a website ranks in the top 10 search results to the widest possible range of relevant search phrases.
The techniques the agency is now making available to the market through its PING PR service have been applied to the Network PR site over the last 18 months and this clearly demonstrates what is possible.
The following is a list of over 40 search phrases that recently brought up the home page of the www.networkpr.com.au site in the first 10 results with a worldwide pages search on www.google.com.au.*
And this is just for the home page of the site; there is a much wider list of phrases that will bring up other pages from the site in the top 10.

Most of this is achieved through regarding Google as the ‘media editor’ and applying content and publishing techniques as one would in traditional public relations - aided by a ‘search-engine friendly’ CMS (content management system). Most importantly, there is no resorting to link farms or to any other dubious practice.
This is not a ‘one-off’ result. While clearly the rankings fluctuate from time to time, the quantum of the results has largely remained unchanged over an extended period.
