Are you a PR Manager looking for an independent, senior ‘sounding board’ to help you get the best out of your PR Department and/or your PR agency?

The author of PR Influences, and the most prolific writer on PR practice in Australia over the past decade, is Grant Common.

Grant is a senior independent corporate PR consultant with more than 30 years PR agency experience who has worked with PR Directors at multi-nationals, industry bodies, service firms, marketers and not-for-profits.

He offers a new type of advisory service exclusively for PR Directors and Managers who are looking for an independent and unbiased advisor whose focus is on advice and who has no interest in interfering with in-house or PR agency professionals who are implementing.

He recognises the personal challenges PR Directors and Managers face - developing and monitoring programs, managing professionals, reporting to management and managing PR agencies.Grant works collaboratively, and discreetly, to help PR Directors and Managers achieve their goals. There’s no commitment to long-term contracts or retainers. And because he is independent, and focused on advice, coaching and mentoring, his work doesn’t conflict with that undertaken by PR agencies.

As you will have seen by the content on PR Influences Grant has a deep and broad knowledge of, and thinks strategically about, public relations as a management tool.

Grant has written a range of articles on topics such as managing the PR Department and aspects of corporate PR including the role of spokespersons.

Although Grant is based in Sydney, he’s available to work anywhere across Australia (or beyond if necessary).
