Established in 1998 at Ti Tree, 190km North of Alice Springs, Red Sand is a well known and reputable dealer in fine Aboriginal art from the Utopia Homelands and regions surrounding Alice Springs in Central Australia. Whilst the artists of Utopia are predominantly of the Anmatyerre and Alyawarre language groups, Red Sand also works with Warlpiri, Pintupi and Pitjantjatjara artists from the western desert. Our head office is in the centre of Todd Mall, the arts entertainment precinct of Alice Springs.
“The Alice” is a vibrant place that plays host to thousands of international tourists every year. It has a fertile and well established arts scene incorporating both Aboriginal and non-indigenous art forms. Most visitors are astonished by the amazing quality and variety of Aboriginal art to be found in the galleries of Todd Mall.
Ti Tree is a place where the true flavour of the outback can be felt. The sunrises are breathtaking and there are more stars visible in the night sky than many people knew existed. It has been home to Red Sand Art Gallery for a decade, with it’s combination of great espresso coffee, home made food and beautiful artworks it is a popular rest stop for travellers and also caters for tour groups.
