Large Area Magnetic Sweeper (L.A.M.S)

Nails and nasties in parking areas, construction sites, large factories, wharf and cargo areas cause many thousands of dollars a year in tyre damage. (One customer was spending more than $30,000 p.a. on truck tyre damage, sustained in his yards)

Serpent and Dove‚Äôs Large Area Magnetic Sweeper (L.A.M.S) provides the answer. Light in weight, yet of robust, all stainless steel and aluminium construction, the L.A.M.S features a deep-reaching Rare Earth Magnet Element to ensure no iron or steel objects escape. The L.A.M.S is 1.5 or 2.1 metres wide and comes in towable or forklift style (pictured below). Skimming the surface at a nominal and adjustable height of 50mm, the L.A.M.S has wheels inboard so that users can sweep right up against walls and fences. A small hand-operated winch on top of the unit retracts the internal magnet element to release collected ferrous material at the endof a run.
