Econo-Grate

Now available in food grade construction these are the affordable option for food, grain, agricultural, chemical, plastics and similar applications. These high power (10,000 Gauss or 1 Tesla) magnets recover iron contamination from product flows.

Today's food processing plants demand adaptability or even redundency as plants are frequently re-configured to meet new product line requirements. Econo-Grate is available in square, round, profile or in housings and in a range of sizes. 1 Tesla or 10,000 Gauss has become the widely accepted standard of strength for Grate Magnets used to purify food products.

Typically Grate or Grid magnets are positioned in hoppers or bins so that dry, free-flowing granular product can flow through them.

Magnetic Grates can be almost any size and configured as single or double row,

and can be housed or un-housed. Econo-Grate can be supplied in easy-clean style.

^ Pictured above is patented Acti-Grate which features 'floating' tubes that are activated slightly by the flow of product through them to help prevent product blockages. This can obviate the need for external vibrators.
