Telling Stories
Monsters and Mayhem's storytelling provides fabulous children's entertainment with minimal set-up!

For fun at festivals and events, to new storytelling programs within museums, or slotting into pre-existing programs - we are happy to explore ideas to introduce storytelling to your space.
Monsters and Mayhem also lead professional development programs for museum guides in using storytelling skills in their interpretive work.

Examples of our Storytelling:
Ghosts at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Sydney
We created a storytelling program based on the ghost sightings the building is (in some circles) famous for. The stories combined history (real convict’s names and recorded offences/misdemeanours, known incidents in the history of the site) and frivolous spookiness to create a moody and entertaining evening for all!
Under the Sea at the Glasgow Science Centre, Glasgow
The Glasgow Science Centre had a travelling exhibition installed that had a suggestion for a story-based education program. We developed that idea into a full program for nursery children involving storytelling, craft activities, and an imaginative walk-around viewing of the exhibition.
Storytelling Fair at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh
We provided two half hour sessions of tradition tales involving lots of audience participation that got the whole family involved!
There are many wonderful storytellers in Scotland. The Scottish Storytelling Centre not only has the details of many of them, it also provides guidelines on booking them!
